Host Teej Jenkins guides students through complex issues in a safe environment. Kevin Juston is the producer of Assignment: The World. He also serves as segment producer for WXXI's live statewide call-in show where kids receive help with homework on the air called Homework Hotline, as videographer for the travel series New York Wine & Table, and has served as associate producer/videographer for several state and national WXXI productions including OnStage, Rochester International Jazz Festival and Restoring a Masterpiece: The Renovation of the Eastman Theatre. From filming New York City rooftop beekeepers to lacrosse players in Onondaga, from a recycling plant in Upstate New York to horse trainers in Saratoga, Kevin's work is never boring. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at New Paltz, and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. Kris Nestle is the director of Assignment: The World. He started at WXXI as a production assistant in 1996 and quickly worked his way up the ranks. Today, Kris directs WXXI's local, state and national productions including Homework Hotline and Second Opinion. Born and raised in Van Hornesville, New York near Cooperstown (home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame), Kris graduated from St. John Fisher College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications & Journalism. When he's not on the set, Kris enjoys snowmobiling, rooting for the Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees, and spending time with his wife Alicia, daughter Rory and their Chinook dog Bruno. Carlet Cleare, interim host of ATW while Teej Jenkins is on maternity leave, is a full-time reporter/producer for WXXI’s Center for Public Affairs where she reports on news topics relevant to the community, and helps to create and develop story ideas to produce comprehensive and compelling news stories. Prior to joining WXXI, she worked at RNews as a Desk Assistant. Carlet earned her Associate’s degree in Communications & Media Arts from Monroe Community College in 2004, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications/Journalism at St. John Fisher College in 2006.
